Equipment Type
Pressure/ANSI Class
Size
The SHORTSTOPP® Valve is a temporary valve used in tapping, isolating, and setting completion plugs in low pressure pipelines. The valve is made of an aluminum body which creates a lightweight solution. The compact size reduces the travel required for the drillling machines boring bar to make taps.
Specifications
- 4-inch through 6-inch.
- Maximum operating pressure: 19 bar (285 psi) at 35°C or 16 bar (245 psi) at 82°C (180°F).
Key Features
- The valves are full opening, permitting passage of TDW drills, hole saws, cutters, pigging heads and completion plugs.
- Designed for use with the SHORTSTOPP® Plugging Systems for Hot Tapping and SHORTSTOPP Plugging operations.
Common Applications
- Hot tapping and isolation operations.
