pressure-13-bar

Size

one-and-one-quarter-12-inches

Engineered to be cost-efficient and dependable, the SHORTSTOPP II Plugging System provides operators with safe means of isolating pipelines in pressures ranging from 60psi up to 200psi, depending on tool configuration and sealing element when complete shutdown is not feasible. The system is lightweight, easy to use, and meets industry standards for plugging distribution mains.

Specifications

  • Isolates 4-inch through 12-inch mains (reduced branch fittings)
  • Isolates 1.25-inch through 12-inch mains (size on size)
  • Maximum working pressure for all reduced branch applications: 10.3 bar (150 psi) at 37°C (100°F)
  • Maximum working pressure for up to 6-inch size on size applications: 13.8 bar (200 psi) at 37°C (100°F)
  • Maximum working pressure for 8-inch and larger size on size applications: 10.3 bar (150 psi) at 37°C (100°F)
  • Maximum operating temperature: 82°C (180°F)
  • Pressure rating may vary for each size as pipeline temperature increases. Please see data sheet for more details

Key Features

  • Pivot ball gland reduces wear on housing and control bar
  • Control bar jack increases mechanical advantage when lowering plugging head in 4 inch and larger lines
  • Control bar latch and clamp secures plugging head in seated position
  • Optional features: sealing elements for different pressure lines, a chip sweep, a magnetic chip-removal tool
