SHORTCUTT® temporary distribution valves are designed for use with TDW tapping and drilling machines and SHORTSTOPP® plugging machines. The valves feature a highly compact body, which reduces the travel distance required for the drilling machine’s boring bar to create taps.
SHORTCUTT valves have a maximum working pressure of 19 bar (275 psi) at 38°C (100°F) or 17 bar (245 psi) at 82°C (180°F). They are suitable for use on 4-inch through 12-inch lines. SHORTCUTT 500 valves have a body made from ductile iron and can be used to accommodate higher-pressure lines.
All SHORTCUTT distribution valves meet ASME Class 150 bolt pattern.
- Full opening permits passage of drills, completion plugs, plugging heads, and hole cutters.
- SHORTCUTT 500 can accommodate higher-pressure lines – 35 bar (500 psi) at 38°C (100°F) or 31 bar (460 psi) at 82°C (180°F).
- The compact design reduces travel distance.
