The TDW 660 tapping machine can be used for making 3-inch to 12-inch hot taps in preparation for plugging machine operations. It also can be used for setting completion plugs after hot tapping and plugging operations have been performed, including LOCK-O-RING® and LOCK-O-RING Plus completion plugs.
The machine has an operating temperature range of -29°C (-20°F) to 371°C (700°F) at 48 bar (700 psi) for intermittent service and can be configured to meet the specific hot tapping requirements of a variety of operations. It can either be air- or hydraulically operated with optional dual drive. A flywheel can also be installed to reduce stress on gears and improve performance, along with a hydraulic feed system that assists technicians in the plug setting process.
