Description:
TDW offers two type of pig tracking systems: TracMaster and Geo2000.
TracMaster is a system that requires a transmitter be attached to the pig. The above-ground receiver detects this transmitter on a moving or stopped pig. This system is easy to use and there's no need to walk and stop. With TracMaster's power receiver, you know each pig passage, audibly and visually. It also records date and time of each passage, in case you missed the exact moment the pigs passed. TracMaster data will transfer to your PC for further analysis and permanent records.
The TDW Geo2000 Pig Tracker detects pig movement by sound amplification of the noises created by the pigs moving through a pipeline. These noises occur when the pigs traverse circumferential weld penetration at weld seams, along with the normal scraping of the cups and cleaning elements against the pipe wall. The Geo2000 utilizes a very sensitive geophone that can be placed in the ground directly over the pipe or in direct contact with exposed vent pipes, valves or fittings. This detected noise is processed through an amplifier and broadcast through a speaker system or, if preferred, through the set of headphones included with the system.
