Tulsa, Okla. - Lt. Gov. Mary Fallin today announced that Tulsa-based T.D. Williamson, Inc. (TDW) has received the Governor's Award for Excellence in Exporting. The presentation was made at the 19th annual Oklahoma Trade Conference held in Tulsa.
"It's a pleasure to acknowledge one of Oklahoma's most recognizable manufacturing companies with this honor," Lt. Gov. Fallin said. "TDW has worked for more than 80 years to establish a reputation of quality products and services around the world. The company is perfectly positioned to move forward in technology and customer support to continue a pattern of growth."
T.D. Williamson, Inc., one of the world's premier online piping maintenance companies, designs and manufactures engineered systems for tapping, plugging, pigging, inspection and monitoring the integrity of essential piping systems. Increased business in China has contributed significantly to TDW's success. TDW opened an office in China in 1999 after projecting a major expansion in pipeline systems in the near future. TDW Hot Tapping and Plugging equipment has become the standard for companies throughout China. TDW recently conducted the first known sub-sea pipeline repair in China on a natural gas pipeline running through the Bohai Gulf.
