T.D. Williamson, Inc.'s SHORTSTOPP® Bolt-On Fittings are designed for use with TDW Tapping and SHORTSTOPP Plugging Systems. Each plugging fitting, 3-WAY Tee, branching tee or tapping sleeve provides a variety of advantages for customers, including:
- Keeping the line in service during pipeline modifications
- Providing a wide variety of sizes (2- through 12-inches) with several specific sizes available for each nominal size
- Eliminating the need for installation of a valve on a line
- Quick delivery
- Broad tolerance ranges for each specific size

Bolt-On Fittings are used for repairs, isolations, main relocations, equipment tie-ins, lateral connections, extensions and crossovers. Each fitting is available in top seal or circumferential end seal designs.
TDW's SHORTSTOPP Bolt-On Fittings are shipped with the top and bottom half of the fitting, bolts, nuts, O-ring seals, gaskets, completion plug and blind flange or cap.
Top seal design tolerances allow for variances in actual outside pipe diameters for the existing pipe main connection. All fittings are compatible with TDW SHORTSTOPP equipment. Fittings are designed to ASME B31.8 standards. Maximum operating pressure is 60 psig (4 bar) with a maximum temperature of 150°F (65°C).
To isolate flow or pressure into connecting lines, the outlet of the 3-WAY Tee can be plugged up to a maximum of 60 psig (4 bar).
All fittings can be supplied with primer coating and carbon steel hardware or fusion-bonded epoxy coating, stainless steel hardware and an elastomer insulator. 3-WAY Tees can be supplied with steel-to-polyethylene transition fittings (medium- to high-density) welded on the outlets from the factory. Thin wall outlets are standard on 3-WAY Tees.
