Tulsa, Oklahoma. - T. D. Williamson, Inc. was founded in 1920 by Mr. T. D. Williamson as the Petroleum Electric Company. Throughout the 1930s and 1940s, the company grew by recognizing various equipment and technological needs within the oil and gas industry and meeting those needs. TDW has developed much of the equipment and many service procedures commonly used for pipeline maintenance around the world today.
T.D.Williamson continues to grow in response to the steadily expanding number of industries the company serves globally. The first TDW international service center was established at Swindon, England in August of 1964. Within the last year, TDW has opened service centers in Canada, Thailand, France, Turkey, Dubai, Russia, Indonesia, Serbia, Poland and China bringing the total to nearly 50.
Technological development has always been a driving force at TDW. Advances often occur when highly skilled TDW engineers work at various job sites and design custom equipment and procedures to solve complex or unique problems encountered by customers. Over the years TDW engineers have produced a steady stream of innovative solutions resulting in new and improved equipment and services adopted for use in multiple industries worldwide. Recently, several major projects have resulted in record-breaking achievements including the largest and deepest underwater hot tap operation which took place off the northwestern coast of Australia.
New manufacturing systems have significantly streamlined TDW production processes. With ever-increasing demand for piping system maintenance products and services, TDW is implementing manufacturing methods which increase production rates, improve product quality and reduce manufactured unit costs.
