The 1200K Tapping Machine is designed to make hot taps into metal pipe, tank tops and walls. They are hydraulically operated and are used for making pipe and tank taps from 12" to 42" (304mm to 1067mm). Maximum working pressure is 1,480 psi (100 bar) at 100°F (38°C). Operating temperature is -20°F (-29°C) to 700°F (371°C) at 700 psi (48 bar) for intermittent service. Maximum continuous rating is 350°F (177°C) at 1,025 psi (48 bar).
The 1200K is available with the standard 108" (1,828mm) boring bar travel. It has a dedicated diesel-driven hydraulic power unit, which can also be used with STOPPLE® Plugging Machines and hydraulic SANDWICH® Tapping Valves.
1200K is fitted with a ladder and platform for operator use. The 1200 Tapping Machine meets NACE standard MR0175-93 (sulfide stress cracking- resistant, metallic material for oilfield equipment).
