A plugging system is designed to stop flow through a line while maintenance work or repairs are being made. A plugging head is inserted into the line through a fitting and flow stopped. Two plugging heads, or a plugging head and an in-line valve, can be used to isolate a section of line. That section can then be cut and necessary work done, such as installing a branch line or installing a new valve.
STEELSTOPP® is a tapping and plugging system for 80-200 mm steel pipe. It brings together a number of TDW components into one system. It includes:
