The SmartPlug® pipeline isolation system is a remote-controlled, tetherless and highly piggable high pressure isolation tool. It is designed to isolate a section of pipeline while at operating pressure.
The primary advantage of using the SmartPlug® tool as a method of pipeline isolation is the ability to minimize production downtime. The following advantages have resulted in savings for our customers:
- No flaring of gas or displacement of pipeline contents
