TDW Offshore provides customized tools and services for isolation and plugging of pipelines, ranging from friction pigs to the SmartPlug® system.

The SmartPlug® tool is a remote-controlled, tetherless and highly piggable high pressure isolation tool. It is designed to isolate a section of pipeline while at operating pressure.  This enables pipeline repair without reducing pipeline pressure or bleeding down the entire pipeline system.

The primary advantage of using the SmartPlug® system as a method of pressure isolation is the abililty to minimize production down time.
