Primary Accountabilities:

 

1. Supervises systems and programming efforts toward the best possible processing methods and techniques and delegates authority to implement the various plans, maintain data processing’s schedules and to accomplish other departmental goals.

 

2.  Oversees administration of the CAD system, ensuring adequate equipment is maintained to support the drafting/engineering needs of the Western Hemisphere Region.

 

3.  Directs department personnel in review of programs or equipment for the purpose of determining the most efficient and effective means of implementing new and revised systems to comply with company objectives.-

 

4.  Maintains current knowledge of developments in the area of systems and hardware/software and incorporates new developments into future systems.  Stays abreast of new developments in the information systems field and strives to continually improve the computer operations at TDW.

 

5.  Maintains a data processing equipment backup source in the event of an in-house equipment failure; maintains data in a secure manner, including off-site storage, to ensure recovery from a disaster with minimum lost information.

 

6.  Assists with the preparation of the annual operating budget for the department, and operates within approved budget guidelines.

 

7.  Controls and coordinates telecommunications systems and equipment, including lines, facsimile equipment, modems, telephone systems, and other associated equipment and services for all TDW locations to assure up-to-date efficient communications capabilities.

 

8. Selects, evaluates, motivates and develops employees to ensure a qualified workforce necessary to meet company objectives while complying with EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines.  Conducts performance reviews according to schedule, providing fair and accurate assessment of employee performance, training needs, areas for improvement and possibility of future growth within the organization.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:

 

1.  Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related field; Bachelors preferred. Demonstrated experience, 10+ years of IT project management, finance, and supervisory experience, maybe substituted in place of the degree.

 

2.  Detailed knowledge of software applications, system infrastructure, and computer operations and business practices applicable to TDW.

 

3.  General understanding of other functional areas within Information Technology outside of the Manager's primary scope of responsibility.

 

4.  Leadership, analytical, development, administrative and support skills in the assigned areas in the Accountabilities section to include formal training or equivalent experience.

 

5.  Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of personnel individually and within teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
