BASIC FUNCTION:
Coordinate the departments in the product order processing as well as provide and adjust global planning for delivery.
Accountabilities:
- Develops and adjusts production plans and notifies the Inside Sales department of any changes/delays.
- Creates purchasing orders based on the routing sheet.
- Makes the follow-up of orders by using the backlog of deliveries and pending orders (through BaaN), communicates the urgencies to the involved departments and ensures that the actions are taken.
- Looks for equivalent materials when needed, prepares the derogation requests for the Engineering department and follows their acceptation.
- Develops and executes the MRP plan, and coordinates and develops procedures & methods to ensure the maintenance of inventories of component parts.
- Provides management with requested reports and makes recommendations to facilitate sound and effective decision making.
RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS
Reports to the Master Scheduler. Works together with the different services like Commercial, Engineering, Purchasing, Traffic, Production, Quality or Warehouse on a daily basis to exchange information and answer the clients’ requests. Works as a team with his colleagues of the department.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- High school graduate would be desirable;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing, production planning, inventory control & management, order processing;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- IT literate;
- Good organization skills, initiative taker and multitasking
- Fluent in French. English knowledge is an asset.
