BASIC FUNCTION:

To be an effective, technical and knowledgeable actor of the Engineering department that will insure that the internal and external TDW customers are delivered on time with conforming, quality and safe products.

Accountabilities:

Product design: 

  • Designs products as per the organizational matrix, in a timely manner and in accordance with the engineering procedures
  • Handles the layout drawings approval, as appropriate
  • Communicates to the Inside sales department of all information collected / exchanged with customers
  • Files the design and order information according to the applicable procedures

Product Management:

  • Maintains the calculation notes according to the applicable codes and approved innovative initiative, in coordination with the Project Engineers Supervisor
  • Assists in the establishment of quotations
  • Assists in the resolution of non conformities and customer claims

Development and innovation:

  • Maintains knowledge of the usual codes and studies the impact on our products of the revision of these codes
  • Manages or participates in products standardization projects, in HT&P Products design innovations projects, in purchased material standardization projects as well as in specific engineered HT&P solution projects.

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS

Reports to the Project Engineers Supervisor. Work closely with the Draftsmen as planned for the considered customer orders.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Engineering degree in mechanics or electro-mechanics
  • Experience of min 2 years in design work of pipeline equipment, pressure vessels and/or welded equipment
  • Good communication skills in French and English
  • Stress resistant, well organized, empathic, pragmatic.
