BASIC FUNCTION:

Provides engineering support to Pigging Products and applies sound engineering principles to the design of new products and the modification of existing products.

Accountabilities:

  • Supervises assigned design and/or drafting personnel; coordinates their efforts into the timely completion of the project while providing the necessary calculations, sketches, and information.
  • Provides technical assistance to Customer Services, Manufacturing and /or subcontract sources when called upon, providing acceptable solutions within the scope of the project/product requirements, such as cost, codes and specifications.
  • Conducts testing, including developing and designing test methods and procedures and substantiates the test results with proper documentation.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all aspects of assigned products/projects in regard to applications, applicable codes, design standards and procedures, manufacturing techniques, etc., in order to provide technical assistance in a professional manner.
  • Suggest/designs/develops new/improved products based on feedback from Sales /Customers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • B.S. degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum five years Engineering experience with TDW or equivalent experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledgeable of applicable codes; able to perform advanced Engineering calculations.
  • Good communication skills; good supervisory skills.
  • Professional registration and computer experience desirable.
  • Thorough knowledge of TDW products and their intended use.
