BASIC FUNCTION:
Posseses the drive and initiative to receive direction and work toward the common goals of the Global Field Support arm of the Global Support Group. Implements processes, procedures, training and certification programs and provides training, for the benefit of Field Operations worldwide. Audits Service Center locations for adherence to and documentation compliant with approved practices and procedures.
Accountabilities:
- Ensures regional compliance for execution and documentation of all procedures used to build, test and certify inspection tools for use in a pipeline inspection project.
- Ensures regional compliance for execution and documentation of all processes and procedures used to successfully perform an inline pipeline inspection project.
- Provides periodic audit of service center operations to ensure compliance with approved company practice and procedure.
- Coordinates with Field Supervisors and Operations Managers to ensure a qualified staff through creation and implementation of training curriculum and certification programs for ILI Tool Operators, shop technicians and affected engineering and production systems technicians.
- Serves as technical resource to regional Service Centers. Provides technical support and direction for as built configurations of inspection tools.
- Maintains open paths of communication with clients and TDW project management to provide feasabilty and technical review of inline inspection projects and contracts.
- Maintains regional training and certification records database for tools, processes and personnel.
- Reviews and provides performance feedback for product support and software development.
- Provides onsite field project supervision for practical applications qualification and approval for Level I ILI Tool Operator certifications.
RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS
Reports to Manager, Global Field Support. Maintains frequent contact with clients, ILI Tool Operators, Field Service supervisors and regional operations managers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Associate degree or equivalent job experience in electronics or related technical field.
- Must be proficient in the use of IBM-compatible PCs, with working knowledge of MS-DOS, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Minimum 3 years experience in pipeline inspection industry.
