T.D. Williamson, Inc., is an equal opportunity employer. BASIC FUNCTION: Maintains current instruments and builds and tests new instruments, in accordance with established quality control procedures. ABILITIES Possesses necessary skills and knowledge to perform inline inspection work assignments. Holds pre-job telephone conversation or job site meeting with customer to ensure that customer is adequately informed of TDW operating requirements. Supervises handling, assembly, operations, benchmarking, and disassembly of equipment in the field and complies with TDW and customer safety standards ensuring that a successful and safe survey is conducted in accordance with established quality control procedures. Performs routine and preventative maintenance on inspection equipment (mechanical or electronic) to ensure desired field performance.  Reviews project requirements and makes any necessary tool modifications. Makes determination in the field if data obtained is acceptable and makes decision as to whether or not a rerun is required.  Assists Survey Analyst in preparation of preliminary and final reports. Assists in recommending, procuring, and inspection of equipment and materials required for the operation of the business in accordance with established quality control procedures. Develops and maintains good relations with all internal and external customers. Trains to attain proficiency in the operation of all in-line inspection equipment. RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS Reports to Manager, Field Support.  Frequent customer contact.  Assists with training of Technician Trainees. REQUIRMENTS Minimum of 6 months field experience with in-line inspection tools. Minimum education requirement will be a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be proficient in the use of IBM-compatible PCS, with working knowledge of MS-DOS.  Some programming experience is helpful. Must be certified to Level I ILI Tool Operator in a minimum of two technologies.
