Williamson Announces New Urethane Compound _______________________________________________________________________________ T.D. Williamson is proud to introduce Formula SI(TM), TDW's new urethane compound used for cups and discs in cleaning, batching and instrument pipeline pigs. Formula SI means "Simplicity Improved." Cups and discs are rougher, tougher and longer lasting. The new Formula SI is a result of an extensive search for the highest performing material. Better physical properties in critical areas such as abrasion resistance, resistance to hydrolysis (high humidity and high temperature), resilience and compression set are features of Formula SI. TDW engineers and chemists looked at 30 different urethane materials and manufactured a minimum of four test cups and/or discs from 22 of these materials. TDW engineers and chemists looked at 30 different urethane materials and performed extensive analysis to assure that you get the most reliable pigs possible. This new formula has been repeatedly field tested, and over 900 runs were made before the material was selected and named Formula SI.
